rolli
Wow. Very original and brave project, congrats! Where had you it PVD-coated and relumed? hi, the bead-blasting and pvd coating is made by a special local company for special pvd coatings. the super lume is from rc tritec. it's a mixture of w9 = 60%, c3 = 20%, c5 = 20% , and it's made by my local watchsmith. cheers rolli

chubbchubb
Very nice Rolli, was it difficult to PVD the crown?
rolli
Very nice Rolli, was it difficult to PVD the crown? hi, each part of the case ( without caseback ) got a ceramic/corundum bead-blasting and pvd coating and must be separate. important: under the bezal is a gasket. in the case tube is a o-ring gasket, in the crown is a o-ring gasket. please screw in a stem ( not your original ) in the crown, the stem is then a holder for the blasting and coating. no blasting on the thread ( crown, case tube and the case thread ) screw in the little screws in screwholes for lugs. the thread is protected and the screwheads become pvd coated. cheers rolli
