Last time we didn't have silence, with the big bang, we whipped ourselves into a silly frenzy, so a little silence isn't always a bad thing. :D

Angus (Puretime) has just said that the Aquatimer Chrono is on its way and should be out in 1-2 weeks!

Far better and nicer than the IWC CD.

The bad thing is that we will have to let pass the first 4 to 6 months to let the problems surface first.

Is this gonna be another super expensive "super rep"? :(

No indication yet. My guess is more IWC CD level, than Hublot BB. What is interesting is that Andrew said this is NOT from the same maker of the IWC CD.. Let's hope for some supplier competition..

No photos out yet.

I assume there are no prototype photos? I cannot access RWI........

No prototype photos yet. Interestingly, PT says that this is not from the factory which makes the Steelfish, CD or HBB. Will be interesting to see how this turns out.

I like the regular Aquatimer Chrono better than the first Cousteau... The 2007 Cousteau is a better looker, but with the 0001/2500 serial number the regular seems more belivable..

But.. Give us the regular, non chrono Aquatimer, with a safe ETA or Miyota-copy movement!! :victory:

I dont know, with the movement in the mille we seam to be moveing in the right direction to moving the date out far enough, just the PR to be looked at, i think i would be happy with a PR that should be 7 days and read as that when it was only 2, i could learn to live with it. But the date position is another thing that has to be in the right position! I think that is possible now.

Don't understand why a non-chrono Aquatimer ain't being made. Who the hell wants to deal with all the potential frustrations with a chrono movement when we got 2824 and 2836, etc... ???

What a mystery. Nothing makes sense in this world. I guess I should not even bother tryin' to figure shiit out in the rep world

I know, I know. If I put on Sahib Shihab's Companionship double LP on my AR-XA fitted with a Shure V-15 Type III fed through my massive quad-amped Sansui amps/pre's into my four AR-3a's... Sense can be made.

Or maybe I can slap in J-Dilla's final mix into my 840's trunk and drive with tears in my eyes, while bringin' smiles of sadness to cats' faces out on tha block.

Is that the kit you spent your "missing year" assembling? Niiiice...

How's that 840 treating you...You didn't get one of those damn nikasil engines, did you?

...Oh, and I concur re. the non-chrono Aquatimer.

'97 alusil :D Although my first was a nikasil block (no problems, but somewhat high mileage). From my experience, if the car never had the engine swapped during the factory recall, it's ok (so long as it was always serviced by BMW). If u get nikasil, go for a car that originated and lived on the West Coast. The high sulphur content of the East Coast gasoline in the 90s was a contributing factor to the nikasil block breakdown. West Coast gasoline content calls/called for less sulphur in the mixture.

The '97 is essentially my daily driver. Gas mileage really ain't bad. I rarely get a chance to open her up on the fwy since there's always so much traffic (I know you know what I'm talking about). I am thinking about selling it for the V12.

My '91 E32 is a nikasil baby with a lot of miles, but still purring like a kitten; or rather, like a large cat that eats a hell of a lot.

My missing year... Yes, indeed! I had been dabbling in hifi for many years, but I finally dedicated some time to fill out my array.

Best regards to you :drunk: and the rest of RWGII ----> Cheers!

To all those who think they are obsessed with reps you ann't seen nothing till you get obsessed with hi fi.

Makes any money spent on reps seem trivial by comparison.
