Hi Folks,

well I think that all has been said about this legendary rep but I could not help launching a new thread with a small homage in pictures.

Prior to posting my shots, I think it makes sense to link to threads which made me pull the trigger on that other Genta's masterpiece :

Awesome SD4K's review

Love the Inge! Great pictorial, Pix. I have seen a few of these rep factory coated Inge crystals in person now, though... And I haven't been too impressed. It's strong in color and weak in anti reflectiveness. The difference after stripping and recoating is tremendous, at least on my end.

Great summary of the Ingenieur! :)

It is truly one of the best replicas out there. I love mine. The short hands does not look good though. I think that the earliest batch of the genuine has short hands.

I have posted this before, but I can repeat it here: An IWC Ingenieur promotional video on Youtube displays an Ingenieur with short hands and the same date font as the replica. Interesting!

Catalogue-worthy shot!

Pix, thanks for this quick but very informative review. Sometimes, one just wants to know the "tells" in a rep watch, without having to read paragraphs (does that sound ungrateful? Yes, but I hope people know what I mean!). Your 1-2-3 tells were very important. And one should take care to watch out for the hands size.

Thanks for the round-up of other links too! :)

Interesting indeed!!! I'll have to track down that promotional video. Does that piece also have the shorter hands? This would tend explain how these artifacts (DW font and hand length) came about in the rep... if such a beast does in fact exist then I would have to believe the sample used to generate the rep was one of those (and a rare specimen to boot ;) )

Thx all...

Victoria, actually I like to share my experience by reviewing more in detail...

But that's valid for unknown reps (typically my field, except these days) ^_^ .

For the most known, I feel that there are treasures of information and very detailed reviews already. I don't really see what I can bring as a contribution in these cases. Therefore the small pictorials and a few comments. I'm glad you liked it.
